Some terminology:

PANEL - original art wired and ready to hang on a display panel

​

PORTFOLIO - original matted or canvas art suitable for display in a portfolio bin.
 

An example panel and portfolio bin are shown below.  Panels will be covered but the color may be black, gray or beige.  The portfolio bin is only an example, most bins will not be wooden.
