Neumann to host Delaware Valley Art League exhibit
Neumann University in Aston will host a free exhibition of work by artists in the Delaware Valley Art League from Thursday, Sept. 3 through Tuesday, Oct. 20. Thirty-six artists will each display one piece in the McNichol Gallery in the Bruder Life Center at the university’s Aston campus. The exhibition will feature original work by Art League members in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, collage, mixed media, charcoal, graphite and gouache. Glenn Holmstrom, professor of art at Neumann, is juror for the show.
A reception for the artists is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the gallery.
Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, the McNichol Gallery can also be scheduled for group visits by calling Nicholas DiMarino at 610-558-5626.
Founded in 1947, the Delaware Valley Art League promotes interest in the fine arts within the community and advances the skill and creativity of its members.
